Spring is one of the best times to visit London. The temperatures are starting to go up but the hordes of summer tourists haven’t descended on the city yet. Whether you’re visiting for a long weekend or a longer trip, with just a few staples, you can look chic and comfortable all at the same time. But Spring can also be a confusing time when planning a travel wardrobe. So what to pack for London in the spring?
Key Pieces
The average temperatures in London in the spring are the teens so you won’t need to bundle up but it’s not shorts weather yet. You need to be prepared for all kinds of weather: rain, cool nights, the odd hot afternoon.
London feels like a classic town so I mostly stuck to neutrals. Yes, blush pink and olive green are neutrals to me. Sticking to a neutral palette lets you mix and match with ease. The easiest way to get the most bang for your packing buck is to make sure that your tops match all (or at least most) of your bottoms and that shoes go with multiple outfits.
Block heel shoes are both trendy and practical when you’re running to catch the tube to make your West End show or strolling around Notting Hill after your afternoon tea. Perforated booties allow a bit of airflow on a warm day but paired with a warmer sock can keep your feet warm if the temperature drops.
Pleated midi skirts are still having a fashion moment and are super easy to dress up or down. Pair it with heels and statement jewelry for an evening out or a t-shirt and sneakers for next level London exploring.

Love this guide! I’m going to Italy in the spring and have been looking for a guide and there seems like a lot of overlap. Love how you shared so many options that all go together!
