When I heard that Nomadic Matt was organizing a travel conference I was curious. When I saw the line-up of speakers Matt had put together, I knew I had to go. But I didn’t want that to be my “big fall trip” so where would I head after? Oddly enough, Greece made sense.

This isn’t your first rodeo…or should I say cup of tea? You’ve been to London once before and ticked off a lot of boxes: Tower Bridge, Globe Theatre, Harry Potter tour, Big Ben…yep, you’ve seen all the major sites. So now what do you do? What are all the cool things to do in London?
I was trip planning and wondering what should I do in London? Should I seek out a food tour? Bike tour? Camden pub crawl? Beer was the social lubricant I needed in Brussels. Or should I go Banksy hunting in Shoreditch? Bingo! We have a winner.
I’d just fallen over and was quickly being engulfed by a quarter million white semi-translucent plastic balls. The people falling around me were creating waves of balls and making the levels rise until I almost went under. Techno music thumped through the air, filling my ears and making my pulse quicken. I latched on as he heaved me up. “That was awesome!” I shouted.
Spring is one of the best times to visit London. The temperatures are starting to go up but the hordes of summer tourists haven’t descended on the city yet. Whether you’re visiting for a long weekend or a longer trip, with just a few staples, you can look chic and comfortable all at the same time.
Ever since WestJet announced their direct flights to London from St. John’s last year, it’s dawned on me that England is now entirely possible as a long weekend getaway. It can be cheaper to get to London than it is to get to Toronto. Crazy talk. And with only a 3.5h time difference it’s time to start considering London for you next girls getaway.
My friend and I were at the Globe Theatre in London, chatting about what our next plans would be for the day, when the British lady in front of us turned around and said “I don’t mean to eavesdrop but if you’re looking for somewhere cool to go, you should check out Gordon’s Wine Bar. It’s one of my favourite places.” I don’t know about you, but when a local recommends something to you and tells you that it’s one of their favourites, you listen.
In honour of London Fashion Week, VisitBritain Shop has asked bloggers to put together their perfect London shopping trip. Being the aspiring fashionista that I am, a shopping trip to London would be heaven. On this magical trip I would put together a perfect outfit featuring British designers and shops: Burberry, Stella McCartney, Lulu Guinness, Harrods and more!
