Staying at Hotel Felix in Chicago, IL

While I was in Chicago attending the first ever Women in Travel Summit (WITS) I had the opportunity to stay at the Hotel Felix and, after looking at their website, I had high hopes. The property looked stylish without being fussy. The beds looked fluffy and comfortable. Best of all the hotel is environmentally conscious. In fact, they’re the first green hotel in Chicago to have a Silver LEED Certification.

Sunday Snap: Yoga at the Bean

Cloud Gate, aka The Bean, is one of my favourite spots in Chicago so of course I had to get a photo taken there doing tree pose. I have a small collection of photos of me doing yoga poses around the world and I try to add to it each time I go on a trip. Reflections on Cloud Gate

Cloud Gate, aka “The Bean”, in Chicago is one of the world’s most popular pieces of public art. It has more visitors than anything else in Chicago aside from Navy Pier. At first blush it seems too simple to really be called art, just a giant mirrored bean-like shape. But there’s more to the Bean than meets the eye.
