Friday Find: Hard-shell Bra Case

Bra bag from the Brag Company | SuitcaseandHeels.com

I apologize right now to my male readers. You’re probably going to have little interest in what I’ve got to say. Unless you too have trouble with mangled bras and underwear going astray in your suitcase. In which case, read on!

Brag bra bag | SuitcaseandHeels.comThe most awkward thing to pack, hands down, is high heels, but I do it anyway. A runner-up would have to be bras. A necessity but I find their shape awkward. I know I’m not supposed to fold one cup inside the other but when you’re packing, what other choice do you have? A little while back I stumbled onto the Brag Company and their hard-shell bra bags and a solution is at hand. Say goodbye to squashed bras.

I received a bra bag and panty pak in the popular pink “Katie” pattern and put them through their paces on my recent trip to Alberta. Both the panty paks and the bra bags comes in nine different patterns so there’s something for everyone. The bra case is understandably on the large side so this probably isn’t for backpackers but if you’re a suitcase packer like I am, it can work well if you plan your packing and leave a space for it.

I love keeping things compartmentalized when I travel so I liked being able to just grab the bra bag and panty pak when I was heading to the shower. Even better, because the cases are so pretty I could just leave it out on the hotel counter and not be embarrassed. And speaking of embarrassing, have you ever been travelling carry-on only and had airport security go through your bag? No chance of your knickers being waved about if they’re packed in their own case.

I actually found myself appreciating the panty pak, a zip bag that opens like a clamshell, more than I anticipated although the name makes me cringe a bit. There’s a mesh zippered pocket for your clean pairs and an opaque zipped pocket for the not so clean pairs. It just kept everything together in one place. The pack is really designed for holding about half a dozen pairs but if you’re going on a longer trip and taking a separate laundry bag with you anyway, you can always store clean pairs in both the “clean” and “not so clean” sides of the case and double the capacity. Alternatively, if you’re just taking a weekend trip you can pack your socks along with your undies in the panty pak.

You don’t need to limit the use of your bra bag for just travel either. There’s nothing to say you couldn’t store your bras at home in one. Each bag can store up to 6 bras and I can just imagine how neat my underwear drawer would look with two pretty bra bags rather than the current jumble of straps.

Try It For Yourself

The Brag Company has given me a discount code so that you can try out their products yourself. Just head over to their website and use the code BLOG2013 to get 10% off your order.

Is a bra case something YOU would consider packing?

Note: I was given a bra case and panty pak from The Brag Company to test out, but all opinions are my own.

That’s awesome! I’d actually purchase one because I never know how to pack my bras! They’re SO awkward and most of the time, they end up being on the very top of the pile… easily spotted by airport security when they go through my suitcase =\

That’s one of the best things, despite the case being a bit large, it kind of makes you want to put it on display. At the very least it’s not embarrassing if someone goes through your bag.

Love this! What a cool idea. I especially love the little panty pak with the “clean” and “not so clean” sides… useful and so cute! I could see this as a Honeymoon must-have.

    Thanks for the post!

They come in a bunch of different patterns too in case you don’t like pink. I was surprised by how useful I found the undie case.

Speaking of honeymoons…if you’re going somewhere warm and are packing swimsuits, the bra case is also perfect for keeping them from getting squished if they have padding, underwire or special details.
